ASCAP OnStage

ASCAP wanted to make sure that all artists with music licensed under their catalog were collecting royalties for performing their work. Not just superstars, but smaller indie artists as well. DUPO helped with making that process simple and easy.

Development, Interaction Design, Mobile App

ASCAP wanted to make it easier for musicians to collect royalties from played gigs. To help them accomplish this, we wireframed solutions that outlined user flows for each possible scenario and step in the process. A quick prototype was later produced to work out kinks and designs were continuously iterated to make improvements throughout the development process.

In our quest to make the app fast, easy, and more aware, we concentrated on ways to reduce the user's need to input information, like taking advantage of geo location capabilities and creating music selection lists based on songs already logged into the member's ASCAP catalog.

When other competitors copied our designs, we knew we did well. Proof that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
